About ChurchSoftwareGuide

Independent, unbiased reviews of church management software — written for the church admins and pastors who actually have to use it.

Our Mission

Choosing church management software shouldn't require sitting through five sales demos and decoding vague pricing pages. ChurchSoftwareGuide exists to give church leaders clear, honest answers about which ChMS platforms actually deliver on their promises — and which ones don't.

We review platforms like Breeze, Planning Center, Tithe.ly, Pushpay, and Church Community Builder from the perspective of a church administrator managing a real congregation — not a software analyst reading feature lists.

Editorial Standards

Hands-On Testing

Every platform we review gets a minimum 30-day trial with real church workflows — member management, event scheduling, giving setup, and volunteer coordination. No "review" written from a press release.

Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships never influence our rankings or scores. We publish honest cons for every platform, including our top-rated picks. No vendor reviews or approves our content before publication.

Real Church Feedback

For every major platform, we interview church administrators, pastors, and volunteers who use the software daily. Their real-world experience shapes our pros, cons, and "best for" recommendations.

Transparent Scoring

Our ratings follow a public rubric: Ease of Use (20%), Features (25%), Value for Money (25%), Support (15%), and Giving Tools (15%). You can see exactly how every score is calculated.

  • We publish honest cons for every platform, including our top-ranked picks.
